Carol M. – May CAREGiver of the Month

by Michelle Zarate on 07/02/2012

Yes, it’s already July! As we move into the official days of summer, we’d like to take a moment to recognize and say ‘Thank You’ to Carol M. for being an outstanding CAREGiver! Carol has a kind heart and strong determination to help the elderly and people in need. She is always dependable, reliable, positive and goes above and beyond doing her regular schedule as well as filling in for last minute shifts. We can always depend on Carol and could not ask for a better team member.

Carol is well traveled being born in Germany and moving to States when she was 18 months old. She was raised in Evansville, Indiana and her family moved to the west in 1976 where she lived in Alaska and then in Idaho in 1980.

Carol has always been in the medical / caring field. When her late husband passed away, Carol decided to get her certification as a certified surgical technician. She worked at St Al’s for many years and after retiring decided that she wanted to help people as a CAREGiver. Thankfully she came to Home Instead.

Carol started with Home Instead Senior Care in July 2011. Her favorite thing about being a CAREGiver is that her clients are so thankful and genuinely gracious for her to be there and help them.  She loves the interaction and the smile that she puts on her clients faces.

Outside of Home Instead, Carol loves the arts. She also loves to sew, cook, bake and browse through the local thrift stores. Carol also spends her time taking care of her mother and her granddaughter who have both recently moved in with her.

Carol has been a wonderful addition to our team and is very deserving of CAREGiver of the Month for May.  Congratulations and keep up the good work!
